Them That Are Bowed

Psalm 146:8 was my promise today

The LORD openeth the eyes of the blind: the LORD raiseth them that are bowed down: the LORD loveth the righteous:

I didn’t give it much thought before because I presumed (bad at all times) that it referred only to the physically blind and bowed. Its profound meaning now reaches deep into my soul and once more I am blessed with the glory of God.

Them That Are Bowed

The Lord openeth the eyes of the blind

He raiseth them that are bowed down

Each one of us who worships Him will find

Miracles are constantly around

Though eyes grow dim you’ll still see

His wondrous works each day

And when fraught with tempting iniquity

The Lord raises you up through pray

An uncertainty may overwhelm you in the dark

Rays of His light then swoops in

Even those challenges you’d never embark

Braved by His glory and blessing

On those days when you’re bent with distress

Whether sickness or burdened with dismay

Engage Him knowing that He will bless

Darkness and your burdens away
