Earth Tremors in Barbados

My day had early plans for me which I ignored. I know for along time that my body behaved like a barometer and predicted the weather. But this was enormous. My sensors were now reaching seismic proportions.

Earth Tremors in Barbados

Early this morning when I awoke

An unsteadiness overcame me before daylight broke

Ready I was to go for my walk

There was no one to indulge with me in small talk

Head was spinning and legs were weak

Then I wished there was someone with whom I could speak

Rest I thought, I wouldn’t walk today

Exercise can wait, relax and say a pray

Morning was soon done and I was feeling the same

One hour afterwards the worst came

Retired in my room I was on the phone

Such tremors came over me, worst than I’d known

I screamed for my mom to the top of my voice

No answer came so I had no choice

Brave this stumbling from side to side

Alert yourself you were in for a rough ride

Relapsing remitting MS can trick your mind

Big tremors were all around, in front and behind

And I was more concern when the hanging ware shook

Daddy was in bed with a very strange look

Once I cried I feel worst, I can’t steady my head

“So relieved you came, I thought it was me”, he said
