Cheap Tings Nuh Good

Bajan Proverbs have very strong messages that when understood, can help you to be a better you. Here is a simple lesson in buying.

Cheap Tings Nuh Good

Called me miser and penny pincher

Had your laughs because I didn’t squander

Even criticized the quality of what I buy

And labeled me as having a cheapskate eye

Price always mattered for me

Took no consideration for longevity

I think the lower the price the better

Nothing, at whatever cost could last forever

Got some shoes just the other day

Should have seen how much they asked me to pay

Not a cent over the tag of 2.93

Unbelievably priced, I went on a buying spree

Had a revelation when I returned to the hood

Good tings nuh cheap and cheap tings nuh good

One of the shoes tore and revealed my toe

Owning them didn’t give me a quid pro quo

Didn’t justify buying them however cheap

Cheap tings nuh good and tings nuh good doan keep
