Living Right Next Door Viewing Heaven

Oh how great it was to live vicariously through others. To watch them come and go in their lives. But a time comes when you no longer feel go to be a spectator. Sometime you wish to be on the other side of the fence. Sometimes the grass is greener.

Living Right Next Door Viewing Heaven

Long ago I hid and stared

Into the windows of my neighbor and my passion flared

Voyeurism and coveting must have been my crime

I envied and lusted watching all the time

Noticed them as they entered their every room

Getting their thrills and in each other consumed

Recently I moved on but this new place is worst

I’ve got neighbors who run all day but never thirst

Going tirelessly about every day

Having laughter and joy all the way

There are some who seem to have a gift for flying

No sorrow they have, no pain and no crying

Everyone seemed loving and kind

Xalting each other and of similar mind

The road on their side was paved in gold

Dandelions grew with a beauty to behold

Old folk behaved ageless and they ran too

Over to greet everyone and everyone they knew

Right over by my side was very hot

Vastly separated by a gulf that we could not

Immigrate to that place over there

Enjoy the benefits that we don’t have here

Weary we buckle but we can never sit

It’s endless the turmoil in this bottomless pit

Now we live death over and over again

Grimace from the agony, the thirst and the pain

How I longed for a drop of water to touch my tongue

Eagerly I’d take just a drop from where fountains sprung

All the days get even hotter than the day before

Violent heat from a lake of fire burns me to the core

Every day I regret the covetousness and lusting

Now, no one would go back to warn my sibling
