It's Left To You
The Government is
tooting great concern about the spread of Dengue Fever on the island. Many of
our neighboring islands had epidemics of this disease. But apart from all the
hype and political rant, too many of our neighborhoods have large collections
of stagnant water. Why don’t we have active plans to get rid of these waters regularly?

It’s Left To You The
country has an alarming outcry Hemorrhagic
fever comes from the Aedes aegypti Epidemiologists
have indicated what we must do Don’t
harbor stagnant water and use repellents too Environs
should therefore be always kept clean No
uncovered containers or water traps should be seen Government
spends so much money on health care Utilize
many resources to get the message out there Every
day you hear or read what the Ministry has to say Fervent
plans to stop the spread of Dengue Except
when I drove through the neighborhood Very
many areas had drainages from an earlier flood Every
mosquito bite reminds me of something I’ve always known Reminds
me of vain promises and how we’re all on our own |
