When The Tough Gets Rough..You Get God
Happy Anniversary
to my parents who from their young lives struggled hard to developed and support
their family. We have much to be thankful for. God has been good to us. He
continues to bless us and for these blessings, we give thanks. Sometimes, just
when we believe our troubles are over, new challenges await us around the
corner. It is by our knowing this that we must continue to give God thanks for
helping us through these difficult times and the ones to come. It should give
my parents a great comfort to know that they have been successful in raising a
great family. May they embrace the new obstacles they must now face with equal
success and the knowledge that God will provide all answers.

When The Tough Gets Rough You Get God Wedded
46 years ago today Had
2 kids then and 1 on the way Eager
to make all things right Not
ready though for the Spiritual fight They
were very young, just kids too Hadn’t
an idea what they were in for, not even a clue Every
day brought challenges worst than before Tough
was their going, they had leisure no more Only
3 years had past before their final child Unable
to cope, after 2 years they left Deacons for the wild Got
a home in a developing area and started their trek Hard
decisions to make and life sped like a train wreck Growing
debts, growing kids, growing risks they must take English
training was the hardest decision to make This
meant a separation for about 8 years Separation
from marriage, child rearing, smiles and tears Registering
as a nurse though a well thought out plan Over
those years the family matured to an uncharted span Utilities,
food and clothing were no longer their cares Getting
control on finances should have dispelled their fears Having
educated kids with their varied success You’d
think would have alleviated all of their stress Or
finally retiring to leisure, no more rushing to work Unbelievably
didn’t prevent them behaving berserk Good
things happened, and their obstacles they scaled Enjoyment
was prevalent and it seem they’d prevailed They
fought all their dragons, the ones that they knew Got
over the tough times but now they’re rough, what’s to do Only
one thing left to fight the hidden dragons they now contest Devotion
to the Father’s way and He’ll take care of the rest Dedicated
to Adrian and Mavine Johnson On their
