How Hard Would It Be...

I don’t want to start getting political; I’ll leave that for the more educated. I would however like to say something that has been on my mind, or maybe, ask something. Why do politicians spend so much time pointing to the danger rather than finding away to help with the problem. Case to point, recently we started a campaign against the rising threat of the Aedes aegypti Mosquito. A know politician drew our attention to a pool of water that had been stagnant in a neighborhood for many months and what is he doing about it? He’s pointing finger at the sitting representative. I think he should have gathered some of the neighborhood help and clear the area. That might have made for better publicity, a demonstration on what a real cleaning up campaign can bring.

How Hard Would It Be….

How hard would it be for politicians to see

Our real concerns are not meaningless frivolity

Why does our Nation cry out in pain

Democracy evicted and capitalism ruling

Investigations were called for but the PM wrote

Decisions can come from a PAC vote

How hard would it be to sort this out

And leave out the shenanigans, just use their clout

Researching into the truths of industrial dishonesty

Delving into corruption and misappropriate money

Wouldn’t require the exhaustive time

Our politicians’ procrastination should be a crime

Oh tell me, how hard would it be to reveal

Dastardly fraud and misuse of a company’s seal

Bringing these charges to the public’s eyes

Reminds us of politician’s propensity for lies

Cause both can’t be telling it like it is

One lies, how can we ever believe again what that one says

My question is how hard would it be to expose

Every invoice, e-mail and every document composed

All correspondence must be filed as required by law

No printed or archived evidence is itself a criminal flaw

And from this absence of documentation we may infer

The operations are as corrupted as the Company manager

I ask you how hard would it be to quiet the accusers

Or mute their screams by public disclosures

No one is ready to expose their hand

And meanwhile chaos spreads over the land

Lots of diverse opinions flood the airwaves

Politicians are the instrument for why the nation misbehaves

Really, how hard would it be to dispel all doubt

Or expose the corruption and leave nothing out

Belligerent tongue lashing while keeping citizens at bay

Like it’s just another political display

Excuses, tick for tack, now the citizens are at the helm

My thought is how hard would it be to end this national problem
