The ‘F’ Word At Work

They ostracized me everyday

Had rules on the things I couldn’t say

Every time I used the forbidden ‘F’ word

Folk would say it’s not what they preferred

When ever I described a thing passionately

Or tried to disarm assaults promptly

Rooms filled with disapproval often shout

Dissatisfied I didn’t leave the ‘F’ word out

All their faces go blue from my liberal tongue

Turn up their noses and put on their frown

Wasn’t long before they stopped talking to me

Over what they described as my being unfriendly

Repeatedly using the ‘F’ word unscathed

Keeping to my standards because of my Faith.
