Happy Birthday...Nash

The clock ticks on and all we have are the memories of times we spent growing up together. I was the fortunate one. Being the younger brother, I got to learn the easy way. Every mistake my brother made I knew to stay clear. He thought me most everything her learnt, scouting, music, athletics, jokes, songs, the list is endless. He was a good flirt but I didn’t pay sufficient attention. I knew of little if anything, I was able to out do my brother in. It was because of this that I always humbled myself and never once believed that I was better than anyone can be, if like Nash, they set their minds to it. My school friend may remember how often I boast of my brothers abilities.

Happy Birthday….Nash

Just the other day we were adventurous children

Overnight it seems like we’ve become men

How awesome to remember the pleasure we had

Noisily playing, splashing, swimming and out running dad

No time was like our carefree youth

You taught me the importance of telling the truth

Nudged me on when ever I was feeling to quit

Adjusted my fighting spirit and sharpened my grit

So much fun you gave me so long ago

Have a Happy Birthday Nash, my treasured big bro
