The Gates To Ruin

My dogs were like best friends. And like my human best friends, they never got along with each other. They fought all the time when they were brought together. After watching the Dog Whisperer,  I got to realize that it was all me. I nurtured the relationship my dogs and friend had. By creating physical divisions, I created social barriers that became wider and higher with time. It doesn’t matter how much dogs fight, with proper rehabilitation, all can be made well.

 The Gates To Ruin

To my displeasure my dogs fought ferociously

Had eight large ones then in close proximity

Every time they got together fights broke out

Got immune to the whip and our disarming shout

And now I’ve grown, I’ve learnt that we

Transferred bad habits on our canine buddy

Encourage their wrath with our barring gate

Supported this ferocity when we chose to separate

These canine friends needed close scrutiny

Organized mixing and our loving authority

Rehabilitation cured them and taught me one thing

Utilizing separating gates can cause great ruin

It’s bad for dogs but even worst for mankind

No good comes when friends are restricted or confined
