Baby Elephant

Sometimes we are unable to perceive the harm we bring about by our actions. We act innocently even though we may cause severe injury to those affected. Before we rush to defend our innocents, let us ask for forgiveness where we might have wrong others

Baby Elephant

Been exhausted and tired, frustrated and stressed

All she needed was a place to rest

But tiredness overcame her when she got free

Young Baby Elephant landed right on me

Exhaustion prevented her keen perception

Lingering only a while but the harm was done

Eventually she realized she couldn’t stay

Pulled herself up and stomped away

Her thoughts were never on me being crushed

And her departure was made with uncaring rush

Now my legs are busted and my ribs are broken in

That Baby Elephant never knew the harm she was doing
