Fly and no Goodbye

I watched as they hatched and stayed in the nest. They were very quiet, trying not to draw anymore attention than they already caused, nesting right before my very eyes. But it all came to an abrupt halt when I woke up this morning and they were all gone. I wanted more time to observe their beautiful nature

Fly with no Goodbye

For weeks we waited

Long watch abated

Yet where did they go

Winged friends treated me like a foe

I went every day

Took photos to portray

How they had grown

Now they’ve disappeared, left on their own

One minute they were here

Getting their mother’s care

Only a night had past

Only one night since I saw them last

Dove love was never mine

But witnessing it was divine

You’d never believe your eyes

Eggs changed into birds that fly with no goodbyes
