Intellectual Property
We fight so much
to preserve little meaningless things like who reads the papers first and who
opens the magazines.
Yet, so many of us
contribute to the demise of creative artistes as they fight their battles to
preserve what is their rights of ownership. And how comfortable are we with the
growing tendency for the criminality among the very young

Intellectual Property I
get upset when people beat me to my magazine Not
because I think they‘ll leave it unclean There
is that feeling of violation from being the first Every
time it gets me like an unquenched thirst Life
gives us opportunities to be that special one Like
painters, photographers and a lyricist’s song Each
one unveils that piece they’ll create Constructed
uniquely that we’ll appreciate Then
someone comes and makes a copy Unleash
it to the masses as a perfected facsimile And
its creator is robbed of that ownership seal Lots
of copies flood the market with indiscreet appeal Professional
artistes lose rampantly each day Rights
of ownership are stripped and cast away Outlaws
can now be a kid in its room Pirating
movies and songs is the new business boom Ecommerce
has made theft a great ease Royalties
are lost and creators become displease The
failing artist can no long create their artistry You
rob us when you steal Intellectual Property |
