The Spirit To Discern
“We have
received….the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are
freely given to us of God”
1 Corinthians 2:12
We never stop being tempted by Satan efforts
to win our soul. In fact sometime the temptations are greater when we become
Christians. Jesus too was tempted. Sometimes they may come in forms that meet
our visceral approval, but pray and trust in the Lord would reveal their
underlying truths. Remember, when Satan come knocking, say “Jesus, you get this
one”

The Spirit to Discern Two
forces guide mankind today Having
control on what ever we may Eager
to defeat the Savior for our soul Satan
offers gifts that he might take control Pearls
and other jewels are just a start Infatuations,
lasciviousness and cravings of the heart Reaching
the top at work in a dubious way Is
all part of Satan leading us astray There
is great danger in wishing for a thing The
dark angel lurks for such, always anticipating Our
ephemeral desires that are no more than a fad Desires
for those things that’ll make us bad Incredibly
Satan’s hold is powerless if we Submit
to our Father, our Lord Almighty Committed
by His love when He is invited in Exalted
and Praise for all that He is doing Reach
out to the Father and there’ll be little concern Nothing
escapes the Spirit He gave us, the Spirit to Discern |
