The Master's Hand

The Master’s Hand was a poem I read as a boy. It described and old violin which was being auctioned and the bid never getting started regardless to the pleas of the auctioneer, “do I hear $1.00…. Then out of no where an old man came and took up the violin. He played it to the delight of the bidders and returned to the seat. “Do I hear $1000…the auctioneer started and the bid climbed high. That old master increased the value of the violin by letting them hear it’s potential. Every young musician has this potential but even more, their music can one day delight the ears of God.

The Master’s Hand

There is a beauty that comes from the musical strings

Harps, guitars and the violins

Ears tingling, heart warming and general joy

Music from these instruments played by girl or boy

And learning the strings brings unparallel knowledge

Students of music are from a superior college

They learn how to combine many faculties

Equipped, they’ll have an affinity to face life with ease

Reading and playing joyful music pleases God’s ear

String music learning is a soul to prepare

How great to know that one day by your hand

An instrument can sing for God to understand

Notes pleasing, making a joyful noise

Delightful music that our Father enjoys
