International Day of Peace
Today the world
celebrates a day of peace, yet they are so many arm forces fighting in foreign
nations for battles still unclear to me. How to you invade a nation so as to
inflict a message of peace. Forgive me for not understanding but how is it
possible that the lives of so many thousands of soldiers, who leave behind
thousands more children, spouses, family and friends, be a peace effort. The
Messiah and Prince of Peace brought with Him a message of peace that never
encourage the lost of lives. In fact He came to die that we might live an
eternity.

International Day of Peace Today,
a day of peace we’re celebrating Have
heard the cry out for solidarity Encouraging
participants to wear white or blue clothing People
all over the world unite with verity Religious
leaders have joined in with praying In
the middle of the day we’ll take a break Nations
will stop what ever they are doing Companies
will halt the profits they make Everyone
is ready on this special day Only
one minute to sacrifice Freeing
up their time to observe a moments pray Perhaps
we think this will suffice East
fighting with West and the battles continuing And
the death toll is in its enormity Christ
the Prince of Peace denounced fighting Encouraged
us to love our enemy |
