Always Special

There are so many definitions of soul mates. There is no mention of soul mates in the Bible, not that I have seen. Yet, soul mates are considered by most as the life long partner. That earthly being with whom we are most closely linked. A soul mate by definition need not be the person to whom you are married but rather, that person with whom you can freely share opinions and comment so naturally that they seem divinely inspired. This kind of relationship can be totally plutonic and may nourish the individuals positively even from the distance. A soul mate can even be of the same sex.

Always Special

Can it be possible, can this be my soul mate

All this time the possibility I would berate

Now faced with it all over again

Am I expected to have constant restrain

Distance may have prevented interactivity

Obstructed our perfect compatibility

Got in the way over these lost years

But never erasing my wholesome cares

Every day I remembered, I reflected on our amity

And how we always had great unity

Shared our loves and our ambitions harmonized

Our thoughts meshed when we fraternized

Unity, harmony, fraternity, all of these

Life brought us back together with symbiotic reprise

Molded in a friendship forever

A plutonic love that will prosper

The Lord has blessed me with my special friend

Each day I’ll pray that we’ll never end
