More Thanks
It seems wrong to
ask for those things that are promised us. And to ask for them every day seems
even worse. Our Father is never impatient and receives our every request of Him
with equal attention, but wouldn’t we be better serve do the things that please
Him even more, like Thanking Him. There are so many things to give thanks for.

More Thanks Lord
you promised to take care of me Enrich
me with your blessing So
why do I pray repeatedly So
much ask and so little thanking Allow
me today my daily bread Secure
me from my enemies Keep
me from temptation and Lord instead Send
me riches and glories My
prays they taught me as a young boy Our
wishes to Him we should declare Repeatedly
asking until we enjoy Every
bounty we prayed for is here Thankfully
this has changed now I have grown How
wrong my elders taught me Almighty
God is omniscient and my desires had known Now
I know the truths of His glory Kudos
and Exaltations to Him I now pray Yesterdays
now better than I knew Our
Father above has willed His way Ultimately
I’m better with less asks and more thank you |
