Basking In Popularity

I seem to spend so much time writing about the famous, their fall from grace and the tight rope balancing act. I hope that we can, by bringing their pressure to the fore, help fan and celebs through a better life.

Basking in Popularity

Some people go through life without a care

Intoxicated by people, drugs, music and beer

Taking no time to get off the proverbial wall

Till that day when like Humpty, they have a great fall

It’s unfortunate how they enjoy the ride

Naïve of the inevitable that will not be denied

Getting up on that wall, they climbed hurriedly

Overcome only by the speed they’ll fall from publicity

Nowadays that old Humpty Dumpty rhyme

Would represent the Dawgs and Divas of our time

All the Kings horses and all the King’s men

Lunatics, Fanatics and the elusive friend

Life hasn’t changed but why can’t we

Stop the cycle of the fall by Humpty Dumpty.
