The Unforgettable

Life crept up on me and before I knew it, it was time to close the door on possibilities. But lingering in my mind are thoughts of the plans I once had. Thoughts that now ask why.

The Unforgettable

There is a darkness that lingers

Hovering in my mind

Etched like ancient letters

Unintelligible and unkind

Nothing I do seems to erase

Fixations of useless ways

Or nothing new will chase

Recollections of gone bye days

Growing up happened so fast

Enjoyment slipped me bye

This empty life doesn’t past

Time doesn't want to fly

And now childless and no spouse

Barren of possibility

Life has confined me to my house

Engulfed in obscurity
