Cutting Out This Risk

I would like to express my condolences to the family of the recently deceased young lady who seemingly died from the complications of a caesarian section delivery. I was witnessed to the splendor of craftsmanship that is involved in this operation and find that, if there is any small deviation from the procedure, many complications may result. This is true for many other non surgical procedures and I wish that we were all warned fully about methods, if when used ineffectively, can impact very unfavorably on our lives, maybe even with fatal consequences.

Cutting out this Risk

Caesarian section is the method they still teach

Uterine intrusion by abdominal incision, freeing babies in breach

This procedure sounds barbaric when we take the route

Taking babies from their moms by cutting them out

I sympathize with the families who now mourn

Now having to surrogate these babies that born

Gestated for months in their moms securely

Only to be whisk out with this risky surgery

Umbilical cords were designed to deliver babies food

They shouldn’t cause risk once severed from mother’s brood

The story featured is only one of many

Hocus-pocus procedures perpetrated on society

I think when we put people under the knife

Someone should warn them of the risks of life

Risks that if known may cause greater care

Intelligent questioning and the things they would share

So many people wait in vain for things to work out

Keeping their mouths closed when they really should shout
