Time of Sorrow

Our Nation mourns the lost of 10 people in less than 4 days due to road accidents.

I have been troubled by this like the rest of you and have been addressing it in other poems.

I am now better able to resolve my feelings and offer these words in verse.

Time of Sorrow

The Nation mourns their untimely lost

Immeasurable life at irreplaceable cost

My prays are for them here on my knees

Empathizing with their friends and families

Oh Lord I’ll pray if it’s not too late

For their souls to be saved, to not forsake

Surviving is harder than we may ever know

On you we’ll depend during this tragic blow

Remove our pain and our suffering

Return our joy after our time of mourning

Our Lord I pray that those left behind

Would receive blessings and your comfort find
