The Reason you Rush

I had my time of rushing. I drove fast and run when I could have walked, all to be on time. Funny, I was always too early, yet I still rushed. There was this one time as a young teen when I ran from home, three miles to school, without taking breakfast. I had to be on time for a meeting and couldn’t miss it. I arrived on time but within minutes of being there, I missed everything. I awoke on a bench to schoolmates telling me of the scare I gave them when I fainted.

When I heard the radio host introducing this new program “The reason you are rushing is the reason why you should slow down”, (this is the general theme and not a quote) I remembered how important it is to Drive with Care. Today, I never hurry! My body doesn’t understand fast.

The Reason you Rush

Slow down, Drive with due Care

The reason you rush needs you there

Okay we understand the little one’s waiting

Presentation is late or your show is starting

All these all need for you to be

Navigating the roads more carefully

Driving recklessly or too fast

Takes down the healthy into a body cast

How important then that you arrive

It's better to be late than to not be alive

Nothing should cause you this reckless scare

Keep your head on, literally, Drive with due Care!
