Market Vendor

All day long I was here listening to the call in program and I do not remember hearing one caller suggesting that the Party Monarch should have been postponed. I

 

Finally I heard Barbados’s most listened to comedian and social commentator the Market Vendor addressing the incident. Imagine it took someone with such light heartedness to wear this heavy heart. I salute your sensitivity.

My compliments to you

And your show of caring

Road accident affected people I knew

Kaiso singers were still singing

East coast was in celebration

The emergency workers were rushed

Vehicular accident wrecked this Nation

Entertainers should have been hushed

Now I sit trying to construe  

Do they not stop for the rain

Or is it that they value

Rain's more important than our pain
