What the eyes don't see
We may be creating
the new Dr. Moreau Society where strangers are closer than you think. We may be
creating a Society where criminals may have been the recipients of organs from
your friends and family. Some research demonstrates an explainable nesting of
memories in the cells of organs transplanted. Some scholars believe that organs
may still retain some of the cellular integrity of their donors. This science
is so complicated I would rather just trust for God’s guidance. Some things are
beyond our comprehension.

What the eyes don’t see A new Law
proposing that cadaver parts Should be
used in transplants unless the decease departs Outlining
a reluctance to be dissected, Created a
living will or a document for donations rejected I see a transformation
of complexity Every
recipient masking an identity This new
society would be like no other one You may
find a stranger who’s partially your father’s son Or a woman
seeing you through your mother’s eyes Focused on
you but you she can’t recognize Some lost
love ones’ hearts beating inside People
unworthy of trust yet you feel to confide A criminal
whisking your sister to her knees Raping her
while wearing your cousin’s kidneys Evil
raging in the man next door Pumping through
the lungs your uncle once wore A Society
that would never be the same again Removing
body parts without ever thinking The
rejection by the body is but one sign Successful
transplants may hide rejection of another kind. |
