A Bunch of Wild Boys

I was watching the new tonight when I heard the comment "A bunch of wild boys". I actually heard it wrong. At first I thought it was white boys until it was qualified for me. My dad started to shout that this was the same thing they rushed down to England saying prior to our Independence. A Bunch of wild boys wanting to take over the place. My, aren’t we glad these wild boys took over, and thankfully they knew then what they were doing. This made the dissenting voice quiet and in time believers in Independence

A Bunch of Wild Boys

A bunch of what? What did he say?

Bunch of wild boys? Did he behave that way?

Ugly words, followed with references of diplomacy

Now, could you believe this twisted irony?

Could and should a leader stoop this low

Has he considered his disruptive blow?

Or has he lost direction like they inferred

Finally confirming his date has expired?

Why rehash a fight lost long ago?

Independence seekers were also described so

London had received the news that wild boys

Dare to take over what the Union Jack employs

But the outcome is recorded on History’s page

Our little Bim had ushered in its new age

You may remember the gloom and doom back then

Such loud dissention had an even louder quietening
