The lost of a friend may only be comforted with the knowledge that the friend is going on to a better place. I may not know this for sure but what I do know is that my friend lived his life with such a caring generous spirit that his friendly glow beamed and lit my way in dark times. Without intending to, my friend affected the lives of many by first influencing the lives of few. My dad told me that he knew my friend years ago when they worked together. Back then, my friend had set the perfect work ethic for daddy and treated him so kindly that it motivated my dad. His good work with dad undoubtedly influence me too cause before I know it and before I met him, I was working as hard as I had observed my dad. When I finally met my friend we only had brief meetings each time but every time it was a lasting experience. It is strange that I met his daughter and sons first, and each of them I am privileged to have met. Like their dad, they are generous and kind and always thoughtful. I learnt recently that there is another sister, yet another ways that he may have influenced my dad, they both fathered 2 boys and 2 girls and based on my last meeting with him, adored their wives. A man’s real accomplishments can be measured in the success of his family. My friend and his family are tops in personality and the ultimate professionals. I will miss his strength of character and the occasional exchange we both valued with each other. May he ascend to the ultimate place of glory and may his example continue to bless those in his legacy.
