The Presentation

Have you ever had to make a presentation and when you were delivering it, everyone seemed to be objecting to your every comment and pitch. It can be very daunting and may even bring you to a premature halt.

They waited 17 minutes for me

Had a general air of hostility

Eyebrows raised and lips drop

Puckering at my every stop

Reactions unsure across the room

Eclipsing approval with promising gloom

So by the time I came to a halt

Everyone seemed critical by default

Nothing to do with what they heard

They actually loved every word

And as arresting as a loud scream

They were transcended by my general theme

I may had provoked them with my estimate

On hearing my delivery they could appreciate

No good if cheap, no cheap if good

I’m glad my presentation was understood
