Expiration On Milk

The news announced the request for the opposition leader to apologize for his description of the Prime Minister as being like an old carton of milk which has expired. Very seldom are we exposed to descriptive this ingenious yet so many seem bent at playing on age. I wasn’t present so I cannot say positively that the context was different but in my opinion and that as amplified by some of the callers to Brass Tack, the expiration refers to usefulness and potential to produce. An analogy or metaphor of milk as in milking seems positive even if not deliberate. The country is being milked by any political party who after 3 terms has little to show by way of progress. Does our country really need a "powder touch up" or do we need a face lift. When was the last time we saw a proposal made by any party that wasn’t cosmetic. Where is innovation, newness real progress?

Ever listen, really listen to them

‘Xamine every word they are saying

Politicians can be ingenious and may

Imply much more than what they say

Reacting to the audio of what you heard

And not assimilating their every word

Tears down the science of scrutiny

In time may remove wit and integrity

Opposing candidates can not be thin skin

Nor insensitive to the deeper truths within

Our Ministers must be more adept

Not superficial with what they interpret

Making expiration into a focus on age

Is narrow and thoughtless and can enrage

Listening I heard it’s dangerous to reelect

Keeping a 4 th term is a Governance derelict
