Message from the Womb

The recent death of the Prime Minister’s baby Danielle, who was born pre-maturely, evoked great feelings. I remember the documentary on "The Womb" which recorded the baby’s growth and development during gestation.

It is remarkable to learn that the personality of a child starts from so early and even more remarkable to know that play time takes place even within her mom. A baby’s effect on her parents usually starts from the moment of conception and the celebrations start privately. Anticipation of the impending birth heightens but bonding supersedes.

Message from the Womb

Mommy and Daddy, cry not for me

Everything would be well in Eternity.

So many days we had and we shared

So many times you showed how much you cared.

All the fun I had on the umbilical swing,

Got cushioned when I fell so I was never bruising.

Enjoyed the rhythms, music and gurgling sound

Frolicked and swam and kicked all day long.

Remember my joy, I never cried

On you I depended and on you I relied.

My meals were regular and always great,

They were never too hot and never came late

How happy I slept in my water bed

Every dream was good when I rest my head.

We had our joy together but now I must go

On a journey I hope you’ll come to know.

My Heavenly Father called and on Him I obey

Be good to each other and remember to pray.
