Spectator's Fatigue

The anxiety that we feel during a cricket match can be almost as bad as being out there playing. I say almost because at least we as spectators don’t get photographed and featured at our worse.

We don’t have to walk shamefully through our airports. I get very worked up and according to the health specialist, this is bad, so I’ll follow their good advice and watch 24, maybe I’ll be safer in Jack’s hands.

All day I sat at home watching

TV8 where world Cup was playing

Hesitant to leave, expectant to see

Our Boys finally beating somebody

My head hung in shame at every ball

Every catch, stump, at every wicket to fall

The team as usual fell apart

Over after over from the very start

Dropping catches and misfielding shamelessly

And never seem cognizant of you and me

You like I probably face the bowlers too

Anticipating spin and the line driving through

Getting the nerves when we run down the wicket

Anxious when the third umpire examines the replay flick

I think tomorrow I wouldn’t watch team West Indies

Not giving up, I rather the suspense from the movies.
