He died that we might live,

A nobler thing we can never give.

Pledging our life for a friend,

Praying for others up to the end.

Young in years when He was crucified,

Eternal in life though on the cross He died.

And now as our saviour He is always near,

Supplying our needs every day of the year.

The Lord Jesus Christ sacrificed that we,

Exalting His name can ascend like He.

Remember His life was an example for all,

Do as He did and to Him you must call.

And remember others when you kneel to pray,

You are in my thoughts on this Easter Day!
